R.I.P.: John H. Johnson: Ebony Magazine Mogul...

A great man has passed recently...

John H. Johnson, founder of "Ebony" magazine has passed after a long and adventurous life that lasted 87 years. With $500.00 he received from his mother as a loan, he created a privately-held, self-made juggernaut called The Johnson Publishing Company that's worth in excess of $500,000,000.00.

Damn.

When people said he couldn't, he said, "Watch me." What else can be said for such a giant in the Black business community?

Here's the website to his company:

Here are some articles links that will attempt to sum up his life:

He will be sorely missed.
